![]() All 105 points into physique still leaves me with enough cunning & spirit to equip everything. I tried to balance my elemental damage type bonuses as much as I could, and I ended up with ~300% difference between my highest & lowest (+2484% fire, +2187% cold with all buffs) which is pretty good considering most of my gear just has one or two elemental damage types. #GRIM DAWN FORUMS MOD#Through all of my messing around in GrimTools I've practically confirmed my theory that cunning is a garbage stat not worthy of dumping any points into, and I think I've finally figured out what to do with my inquisitor.ġ00% elemental 2h forcewave spam facetank build with inquisitor seal providing some extra tankiness and debuffs (via item skill mod on the sword). Speaking of beasts, the beast nemesis is a massive *******. ![]() The build is ranged and kinda squishy, but it'll dish out plenty of damage I think.Īnybody else see the dev blog about the upcoming roguelike dungeon? Looks beast-themed. I think I have the off-hand sitting around somewhere but I'm not 100% on that. I just need the amulet, one more ring, the medal, pants, and the relic. Why not? Might swap some more points into Blood of Dreeg's base skill and modifier for more OA and poison resist. It also has 2818 OA with toggles and sustainable buffs (Blood of Dreeg). I might have to shift a couple of points from physique into spirit to equip the offhand. Look, I made a demo/occultist 1h ranged+offhand fire strike build for pure chaos damage (between devotions, item skill modifiers, and thermite mine it gets -90% chaos resist so it'll work) and it has 0 points in cunning. So why should you put points into cunning? No points in cunning, yet he has huge OA, which is ostensibly the only real purpose of cunning. He tanks better with a two-hander than my warder does with a shield because of his DA (3k with toggles, ****in' seriously?) and has crazy good damage output with physical to fire conversion on forcewave (which btw he has two different items doing that conversion for him, wtf Crate stop making so much gear for demos and start supporting other classes why not make that convert to aether/vit for death knights or something smh) and a big fire resist reduction debuff from thermite mine and another resistance debuff devotion proc on forcewave so nothing really stands up to him. He has 0 points in cunning and isn't lacking in any other stat, like resistances or defensive ability. When fighting spirit pops he pushes over 3100. With just his toggled buffs, this guy's build has over 2800 OA. Most of your flat and percentage OA will come from gear, buff skills, and constellations. Well there it is, right? The reason to level cunning! Except cunning gives small per-point returns on offensive ability. Now, OA is a critical stat for any build (except pet builds, maybe?) because it governs your chance to hit and your chance to crit. So, what does cunning do? It increases physical & bleed damage and Offensive Ability. You can find plenty of builds on the GD forums that are 10-20 points into spirit and the rest in physique, even ranged builds. So, you probably won't need many (or any) points in cunning to equip your stuff. Ranged weapons and one-handed melee weapons require it, but accessible devotion constellations and gear that is often useful for your build will reduce those requirements anyway, not to mention all of the flat cunning bonuses you'll get from constellations and gear. ![]() ![]() Spirit is also a rather inefficient use of points but you'll take some anyway, though only because you'll probably need some for accessories. Cunning is a garbage stat, a waste of points you could just put into the god-stat that is physique. ![]() Why is cunning a stat we can put points into? It isn't necessary. It's been a couple days, so I'll make a new post instead of an edit. Looking on the DB made me realize there are some kickass components I haven't found blueprints for yet. I'm also considering swapping the relic to Eternity once I get the blueprint. Just looking for mythical versions of everything but the medal. Rings are meh, amulet is meh (I really want the mythical one), gloves are meh, medal needs to be replaced too. I only manage to stay alive by constantly moving when I'm not using blade barrier. With how much armor & physical resist both of us don't have, you're going to have a helluva time using Albrecht's. Damage output is through the roof, I nearly took out the boss' first stage with one devastation and a couple sky shards. This is his current setup (toggle off the 2h, I don't actually use it) and with some decent kiting I took on the last boss of the expansion with one accidental death (I ran myself into a corner). I hope enemies just decide to hit you less than they hit my arcanist. ![]()
